Georgette C. (Allard) Bousquet, 84, of Auburn, MA, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday, January 27th at UMass Memorial Medical Center. She leaves her eight children: Jane Iozzia and her husband John of Oakland, NJ; Denise Bousquet and her husband Fran Gardino of Boston; Linda Bousquet of Los Angeles, CA; Monique (Nikky) Gillotti and her husband Gary of Riverbank, CA; Rita Bousquet and her husband Thomas Flynn of Sterling; Leon Bousquet and his wife Debra of Whitinsville; Diane Michele Bousquet of New Orleans, LA; and Adele Hamilton and her husband Brian of Auburn. Georgette leaves eleven grandchildren: Martin and Adam Lukowski; Jason and Natalie Gardino; Alissa Harty and Nathan Gillotti; Garrett, Brent, and Bridgette Bousquet; Bruce and Ross Hamilton; and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves her brother, Jean Guy Allard of Montreal, Canada. She was predeceased by her sister, Mignonne Madore, and three brothers, Lucien, Ronald, and Real Allard, all of Canada. Born in Gatineau, Ontario, Georgette was the daughter of the late Louis and Fortuna (Osborne) Allard. In 1949, she graduated from The Maurice Fashion Arts Academy in Montreal. After her marriage to Robert W. Bousquet in 1950, she lived in Southbridge, MA and moved to Auburn in 1972. After the death of her husband in 1984, she became the president of the family business, Auburn Auto Parts, Inc. Georgette was an active member of North American Martyrs Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, painting, cake decorating, traveling, and playing Scrabble with her family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, January 30th from 1:30-3:30 pm and 6-8 pm at the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held for Georgette on Thursday, January 31st at 10 am at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn, MA. She will be laid to rest at Notre Dame Mausoleum, Worcester, MA. The family requests that flowers be omitted due to severe allergies. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Georgette’s memory to North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn, MA 01501.
