North Oxford-Theodore F. “Ted” Hill, 66 of N. Oxford, died Monday in the Life Care Center of Auburn, concluding his courageous battle against lung cancer. He leaves a son David “Scott” Hill, of Worcester, his companion Patricia Beauregard of N. Oxford, his loving grandchildren; Alex, Kyle, Cody, Ross, Daniele, Brooke and Brenna, and sister Carol Henrickson and husband Roy of Rangeley Plantation, ME. He is predeceased by his parents; Paul L. Hill and Irma (Armstrong) Hill, and a brother David Hill. Ted was born in Worcester and educated in the Auburn public schools. Ted took great pride in his 50 year career as a self employed auto body repairman. He had a keen eye for detail and was regarded by many as an artist for his talent repairing and painting vehicles. Ted was a member of the Auburn Elks; he coached pee-wee hockey and youth baseball. He also participated golf, pool, and candlepin bowling leagues for many years. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, who all affectionately addressed him as “Bumpa”. According to Ted’s wishes a private memorial service for family and friends will be held at Britton Funeral Home. A celebration of Ted’s life will be open to all at 5pm Friday at the Auburn/Webster Elks Lodge 754 Southbridge Street in Auburn. In lieu of flowers, Ted’s love for animals can be recognized by sending donations to Pet Rock Fest, PO Box 310 Auburn, MA 01501.
