AUBURN- Leonard W. Landry, 90, of Auburn, passed away Friday February 14 at Mass General Hospital. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Edmund and Minnie (Gravelin) Landry. He graduated from South High School and Worcester Junior College and served honorably in the U.S. Navy as a gunner’s mate aboard the destroyer escort USS Roy O. Hale. Leonard was President of Landry, Inc., retiring in 1995. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club and the Auburn Knights of Columbus. A loyal New England sports fan, he enjoyed following the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics. He was a respected, loving family man and a good friend to many. Leonard is survived by his wife Florence (Quinn) Landry, sons Stephen, with whom he resided, Dennis and his wife Pamela of Holden, his grandchildren Michael Landry of Auburn, Ryan Landry of Holden and Nicole (Landry) Faia, wife of Michael Faia of Sanford, ME and two great grandchildren, Michael and Anthony Faia, as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Landry Family on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 4-7 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 with a funeral Mass celebrated at 10 AM in Saint Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street North, Auburn. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
