Thomas F. Malone Jr., 86 of Worcester, Ma, passed away on Sunday March 2nd, 2014 with his family by his side. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 64 years, June Pierce Malone and their 4 loving children, Kathy A. Scally and her husband Warren of Holden, Thomas F. Malone 3rd and his wife Christine of Worcester, Maureen Banach and her husband Peter of Worcester, and Patricia Burgner and her husband Glenn of Westport, Ma, and eight loving grandchildren, Erin, Kayla, Thomas, Michael, Jena, Maura, Megan, Melissa, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers, William, Donald, and Robert Malone. Thomas was born in Worcester the son of the late Thomas F. and Edith (Johnson) Malone. He attended Worcester public schools and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade as an Electrician. Thomas was a WWII era veteran serving his country in the US Army. He was a member of the Local 96 Electrical Workers Union. He worked as an Electrician at A.C. Senecal Company and later as Vice President of Mutual Electric. He and June enjoyed their retirement years traveling the country with friends and in later years wintered in their home in Fort Myers, Florida. His interests included golf, gardening, and spending time in his garage workshop. You could always find him talking, joking, and laughing with neighbors, friends and family, especially with his grandchildren. He was quick witted and always had a joke, a wink and smile for all. Thomas was a lifelong member of St Joseph Church in Auburn. Funeral and burial services will be held privately. His family requests that any memorial donations be made to either The American Cancer Society or The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
